ADVENTURE PARK OPERATIONS MANAGER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically organizes, develops, schedules, and supervises day-to-day operations of the entire Adventure Park which includes;
- Rock wall, high ropes course, zip line, go karts and arcade
- Maintains all inspection logs, files, reports, communications, and electronic data relating to safety inspections, incidents, maintenance reports and any other general daily reports
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness throughout the entire facility
- Develops strategic plans for increasing profitability using a combination of sales building and cost control
- Ability to engage customers and resolve any customer complaints.
- Maintain certifications of all adventure guides in compliance with NJ State regulations
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old (minimum age).
- Excellent leadership, sales, and supervisor management skills. Must be innovative and self-motivated.
- Excellent organization and communication skills and ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometimes stressful times.
- Must maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be in good physical condition and have no neck, back or shoulder injuries.
- Must be able to work most weekends and holidays.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively and display excellent customer service skills.
PROFIT MANAGEMENT
- Meets or exceeds budgeted profit margin for the Adventure Park.
- Accurately forecasts revenues/expenses.
- Prepares annual budget that accurately reflects the Adventure Park business plan.
- Anticipates revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures.
- Analyzes financial and operating information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs.
- Translates business plans into action and manages those actions toward the achievement of revenue and cost objectives
SAFETY AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT
- Knows local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the Adventure Park.
- Recognizes and corrects potential safety hazards such as broken equipment, fire hazards, etc.
- Recognizes and corrects potential security problems such as locking doors/gates after hours, etc.
- Understands and follows policies and procedures for the Adventure Park key control system and ensures others are trained in the same.
- Uses ongoing safety training to minimize worker’s compensation claims.
