Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Hotel LBI | Full Time

Job Responsibilities:  Work closely with the Area Director of Sales & Marketing to perform daily tasks including but not limited to the following.

  • Assist Director of Sales with revenue management
  • Handle all phases of wedding and social group room blocks, preparing contracts and follow up of all bookings
  • Corporate meeting liaison between sales office and company point of contact. Respond to inquiries for corporate retreats, provide menus and information. Create banquet event orders and work closely with Director of Catering to ensure all meeting needs are met
  • Respond to all Hotel Planner RFPs and sales inquiry emails
  • Support the front desk with answering calls and providing superior customer service. Be a team player by providing coverage at our front desk when needed.
  • Assist with walk ins and provide site tours of property
  • Audit online sites and maintain hotel website and travel sites to reflect most current pricing and promotional offers
  • Assist in creating marketing material and advertising promotional activities on social media, email blasts and the web
  • Post on Facebook, LinkedIn etc to promote hotel and restaurant

 

Qualifications:

  • Current student or graduate from a hospitality, recreation or marketing program at an accredited university
  • Self-sufficient, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Effective customer service skills for interaction with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule based on the needs of the hotel
  • Strong working knowledge of Google drive platform and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with marketing and social media platforms
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques

Springer Miller Systems, Amadeus and or Sales & Catering Solutions software experience helpful but not required
